Raggle

A groove or channel cut into a masonry or concrete surface, designed to receive and secure the edge of flashing material. This recess provides a watertight seal where a roof or wall abuts another surface, preventing water penetration. Flashing, often made of metal or rubber, is inserted into the raggle and sealed with mortar or sealant.
