Cubic Inch Displacement: A measurement of an internal combustion engine's total volume swept by all the pistons in one complete stroke cycle. It is calculated by multiplying the bore, stroke, and number of cylinders, then converting the result to cubic inches. A larger CID typically indicates a higher potential for power output.
