Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001255
A power generation system that integrates a gas turbine with a steam turbine to achieve higher overall efficiency than either cycle alone. The hot exhaust gases from the gas turbine are used to generate steam, which then drives the steam turbine. This configuration can achieve thermal efficiencies exceeding 60% in modern power plants.
