Crossed line

A fault condition in telecommunications where two or more separate communication circuits become inadvertently connected, allowing signals from one line to interfere with or be heard on another. This can result from damaged insulation, improper wiring, or equipment malfunction. Such an occurrence typically causes privacy breaches and signal degradation.
