Cutline

A cleared path or narrow strip cut through dense vegetation, such as forests, to establish a clear line of sight for surveying instruments. These lines allow surveyors to measure distances and angles accurately without obstruction. Cutlines are often used for property boundaries, seismic exploration, or utility right-of-way surveys.
