Distributorless

Describing an ignition system in an internal combustion engine that does not use a mechanical distributor to route high voltage to the spark plugs. Instead, individual ignition coils or coil packs are directly controlled by the engine control unit (ECU). This design eliminates moving parts associated with traditional distributors, such as the rotor and cap.
