Electrofinish
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002004
A surface treatment process that uses an electric current to alter the surface properties of a metal part. This can involve electroplating, where a layer of another metal is deposited, or electropolishing, which removes material to create a smooth, bright finish. Electrofinishing processes are governed by parameters such as current density, voltage, and electrolyte composition.
