Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002760
An abbreviation for High Density Alumina, a synthetic ceramic material with high purity, fine grain size, and low porosity, which provides excellent mechanical strength and wear resistance. It is produced by sintering finely ground aluminum oxide powder at very high temperatures. HDA components are used for applications like grinding media, wear-resistant linings in pipes, and as electrical insulators due to their high dielectric strength.
