Bronzing

A surface discoloration that appears as a bronze-like sheen on plated or coated metal parts. This phenomenon results from specific plating bath conditions or post-treatment processes, indicating an undesirable alteration of the surface finish. Bronzing can be caused by excessive current density or certain organic contaminants in the plating solution.
