Ferry van

A type of railway goods wagon designed for transport on train ferries between networks with different loading gauges, such as Great Britain and continental Europe. These vans are constructed to a smaller profile to fit within the restrictive British loading gauge while also being compatible with continental systems. They feature lashing points for securing them to the ferry's deck and are equipped with dual braking systems (air and vacuum) to operate across different national railways.
