French cleat

A hanging system consisting of two interlocking pieces of wood, each with a 45-degree bevel cut. One piece is attached to the wall with the bevel facing up and out, while the other is attached to the item to be hung with the bevel facing down and in. This system provides a strong, secure, and easily removable mounting solution for cabinets, shelves, or artwork.
