Geneva mechanism

An intermittent drive mechanism that translates continuous rotational motion into intermittent rotary motion. It consists of a driving wheel with a pin that engages a slot in a driven wheel, causing the driven wheel to advance by a fixed angle and then remain stationary. This mechanism is commonly used in film projectors, indexing tables, and automatic assembly machines.
