Geneva wheel

The driven component of a Geneva mechanism, characterized by a series of radial slots and a locking surface. It receives intermittent motion from a driving pin, rotating by a specific angle for each full rotation of the driver. The number of slots determines the number of stops per revolution, typically ranging from three to twelve.
