Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002732

A type of coaxial cable characterized by a solid metal outer conductor, typically copper or aluminum, rather than a braided shield. This construction provides superior shielding against electromagnetic interference and lower signal loss over long distances compared to flexible coaxial cables. Hardline cables are used in applications such as cable television distribution networks and high-power radio frequency transmission.
