High Dynamic Range, a technology that expands the contrast ratio and color accuracy of displays and images. It allows for a greater difference between the brightest whites and darkest blacks, along with a wider spectrum of colors. HDR content is often encoded using standards such as HDR10 or Dolby Vision.
