High dynamic range is a imaging technique used to reproduce a greater range of luminosity than is possible with standard digital imaging or photographic techniques. It captures and displays a wider spectrum of light and shadow, resulting in more detailed and realistic images. HDR content requires compatible displays and cameras to be fully appreciated.
