Impose

To arrange the pages of a multi-page document onto a larger press sheet in the correct sequence and orientation for printing. This arrangement accounts for how the sheet will be folded and trimmed to create the final product, such as a book or brochure. The resulting layout, called an imposition scheme, dictates the placement of page numbers, margins, and bleed areas to match the binding method.
