An unglazed stoneware developed by Josiah Wedgwood in the late 18th century, known for its matte, biscuit-like finish and classical relief decorations. It is typically produced in a range of colors, most famously pale blue, with white applied reliefs depicting mythological scenes or neoclassical motifs. Jasperware is fired to a high temperature, making it durable and non-porous.
