Lichtenberg figure

A branching, tree-like pattern created by electrical discharges on or within an insulating material. These figures are formed when high voltage electricity propagates across a surface or through a dielectric, leaving a permanent record of the discharge path. They are often observed on the skin of lightning strike victims or in high-voltage laboratory experiments.
