Lineman splice

A method for joining two electrical wires to create a strong, reliable connection capable of withstanding mechanical tension. The technique involves stripping the insulation from the ends of the wires, crossing them, and then tightly wrapping each end around the other wire in opposite directions. This splice is also known as a Western Union splice and was historically used for repairing telegraph lines.
