Long-welded

Describing railway track where individual rail sections are welded together to form continuous lengths, often several kilometers long. This eliminates the gaps and joints found in traditional bolted track, resulting in a smoother ride, reduced noise, and less maintenance. Long-welded rail is the standard for modern high-speed and heavy-haul lines.
