Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003427
A highly mechanized underground mining method primarily used for extracting coal seams, characterized by a long working face that can extend for hundreds of meters. A shearer cuts coal from the face, which then falls onto a conveyor, while hydraulic powered supports advance to protect the working area. This method achieves high production rates and recovery.
