Misclosure

The amount by which a survey traverse or level loop fails to close exactly, representing the accumulated error in measurements. It is the difference between the computed coordinates of the starting point and its known coordinates after completing the loop. Misclosure is typically adjusted proportionally among the measured lines or elevations.
