An agricultural practice where crops are grown without disturbing the soil through plowing or tilling. This method leaves crop residues on the surface, which conserves soil moisture, reduces erosion, and improves soil structure and organic matter content. Specialized planting equipment is used to cut a narrow slot for seed placement.
