Nuclear magneton
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003947
A physical constant representing the natural unit for the magnetic moment of heavy subatomic particles, such as protons and neutrons. It is defined in terms of the elementary charge, Planck's constant, and the mass of a proton. The nuclear magneton is approximately 1/1836th of the Bohr magneton, reflecting the much larger mass of nucleons compared to electrons.
