Ohmic resistance

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003981

The opposition to the flow of electric current in a material that obeys Ohm's Law, meaning the resistance remains constant regardless of the applied voltage or current. This resistance arises from the collisions of electrons with atoms within the conductor, converting electrical energy into heat. It is measured in ohms (Ω) and is calculated as the ratio of voltage to current.
