Outbond
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004051
A masonry unit, brick or stone, set so that its long dimension runs along the wall face and its long side is exposed on the surface. This is the stretcher position, and a course laid this way is called a stretcher course. It contrasts with an inbond unit, whose length runs through the thickness of the wall, as a header does.
