Overshot

A tool used in drilling operations to retrieve lost or broken equipment from a borehole. It consists of a body, a grapple, and a slip mechanism that latches onto the fish (the lost item) when lowered over it. The overshot is then pulled upwards to recover the equipment to the surface.
