Paystreak

A specific, elongated zone or layer within a larger rock formation that has a significantly higher concentration of valuable minerals than the surrounding material. A paystreak represents the most profitable part of an ore body or a placer deposit, guiding the focus of mining activities. In placer deposits, these streaks are formed by the sorting action of water, concentrating heavy minerals like gold.
