Orthomagmatic

Relating to the main stage of crystallization in a body of magma, during which the primary rock-forming silicate minerals are formed. This phase occurs as the magma cools, leading to the precipitation of minerals like olivine, pyroxene, and feldspar. Ore deposits formed during this stage, such as layered intrusions containing chromium or platinum, are known as orthomagmatic deposits.
