Symplectitic

Describing a rock texture characterized by a fine-grained, intimate intergrowth of two or more different minerals. This texture forms during the simultaneous crystallization of minerals from a melt or through a solid-state reaction where one mineral replaces another. A common example is the intergrowth of quartz and feldspar, which forms a texture known as myrmekite.
