Pick-at-will
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004285
A weaving process using a loom, often a Jacquard type, capable of selecting any available weft yarn color for each individual pick. This capability allows for the creation of intricate, non-repeating, and multicolored patterns without being restricted to a fixed sequence of colors. Unlike shuttle-box looms that change colors in a predetermined order, a pick-at-will loom offers complete freedom in weft color placement across the fabric's width.
