Pigtail

A short, flexible electrical conductor with a connector on one or both ends, used to connect a component to a circuit or to extend an existing wire. This type of connection reduces strain on the main wiring and allows for easier installation or replacement of devices. Pigtails are commonly found in automotive wiring harnesses and household electrical fixtures.
