Piña

A cone of silver made in the mercury amalgamation of silver ore in Spanish America. Silver amalgam was shaped into a cone and retorted, and the spongy cone of silver left once the mercury had been driven off kept the name. In Chile, Peru and Bolivia the word also names a cone-shaped ingot of refined silver.
