PLD

An electronic component used to build reconfigurable digital circuits. Unlike fixed-function logic gates, a PLD's logic can be altered after manufacturing by the user, allowing for flexible design and rapid prototyping. Field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and complex programmable logic devices (CPLDs) are common types of PLDs.
