PTDF

A power transfer distribution factor (PTDF) quantifies the change in real power flow on a transmission line for a given change in real power injection at one bus and withdrawal at another. It is a linear approximation used in power system analysis to assess the impact of transactions on network congestion. PTDFs are expressed as a percentage or a decimal value.
