Raking fire

A fire attack strategy where a hose stream is directed across the surface of a burning material or structure, rather than directly into the flames. This technique aims to cool and extinguish the fire by sweeping the water across the burning area. Raking fire can be effective for controlling surface fires and preventing their spread.
