Reconductor

To replace existing electrical conductors on transmission or distribution lines with new ones, often of a different material or larger cross-section. This process aims to increase power capacity, reduce line losses, or improve the mechanical integrity of the line. Reconductoring projects frequently involve upgrading to aluminum conductor steel-reinforced (ACSR) cables.
