Redline

The maximum safe operating speed, measured in revolutions per minute (RPM), for an internal combustion engine, indicated by a red marking on the tachometer. Exceeding this limit can cause severe engine damage due to excessive stress on internal components. Modern engines often have rev limiters that prevent the engine from exceeding the redline.
