Remblai

Waste rock or other fill material used to backfill voids in an underground mine, particularly in cut-and-fill stoping methods. The placement of remblai provides ground support, allowing for the safe extraction of adjacent ore blocks, and serves as a working platform for miners and equipment. This fill material can be unconsolidated waste rock or a mixture of tailings and a binder like cement to form a solid mass.
