Security distance

The minimum safe following distance a driver should maintain behind the vehicle in front, allowing sufficient time and space to react and stop safely. This distance varies with speed, road conditions, and vehicle type. A common guideline is the 'two-second rule' or 'three-second rule' in dry conditions.
