Slicker

A hand tool used in foundry work for smoothing and finishing the surfaces of sand molds before casting. It consists of a thin steel blade, which can be flat, spoon-shaped, or curved, attached to a handle. Molders use it to repair imperfections, create clean corners, and produce a fine surface finish on the mold cavity and core surfaces.
