Moulder

A skilled tradesperson who creates moulds for casting metal, or a machine that performs this function. In a foundry, the moulder packs sand, such as green sand or chemically bonded sand, around a pattern to form the mould cavity into which molten metal is poured. The quality of the mould, including its strength, permeability, and dimensional accuracy, directly affects the final casting's quality.
