SPI
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-005520
A synchronous serial communication interface specification used for short-distance communication, primarily in embedded systems. The Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) bus operates in full-duplex mode with a master-slave architecture, where the master device initiates data frames and generates the clock signal that controls data transfer speed. A typical SPI connection requires four logic signals: SCLK (Serial Clock), MOSI (Master Out Slave In), MISO (Master In Slave Out), and SS (Slave Select).
