STA
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-007271
An analysis method in digital circuit design, known as Static Timing Analysis (STA), that verifies the timing performance of a circuit without requiring simulation of the logical operations. It calculates signal propagation delays through all possible paths in a design to check for violations of timing constraints, such as setup and hold times. This analysis is performed at specified process, voltage, and temperature (PVT) corners to confirm the circuit will operate at the required speed under worst-case conditions.
