Tarmac

A paved surface at an airport, typically made of asphalt concrete, used for aircraft movement, parking, loading, unloading, and refueling. This area is distinct from runways, which are specifically for takeoffs and landings, and taxiways, which connect runways to other airport facilities. Access to the tarmac is restricted to authorized personnel and vehicles to maintain safety and security.
