Whiskering

A printing defect characterized by fine, hair-like lines or smudges extending from the edges of printed characters or images. This occurs when excess ink spreads beyond the intended boundaries, often due to excessive pressure or worn printing plates. Whiskering degrades the sharpness and clarity of the printed output.
