Continuing undertaking rule

A legal principle that extends the statute of limitations for professional negligence claims when the professional's services for a client are ongoing. The clock for filing a lawsuit does not begin until the professional's involvement in the specific undertaking has concluded. This rule prevents professionals from escaping liability for latent errors by simply continuing their work.
