Hazardous ranking system HRS

A scoring system used by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to assess the relative risk posed by hazardous waste sites. It evaluates factors such as the potential for harm to human health and the environment. Sites scoring above a certain threshold are eligible for inclusion on the National Priorities List (NPL) for Superfund cleanup.
