Hospital income insurance

A supplemental insurance policy that pays a fixed daily or weekly cash benefit directly to the insured for each day they are hospitalized due to illness or injury. This benefit is paid regardless of other insurance coverage and can be used to cover deductibles, co-payments, or other out-of-pocket expenses. It is not designed to replace major medical insurance but to complement it.
